"After having the helmet for a year, I've only worn it around 4 or 5 times due to the fact that no matter what cheek pads I get the helmet is still loose on my head and not very safe. I love the way it looks but I'm unfortunately going to sell it most likely. I emailed the company about it since I ordered a medium because it told me to size up, so they sent me small size pads because they use the same shell, but the helmet still doesn't fit right."

Great feeling helmet.

"The helmet is awesome looking and feels pretty good to wear and fits to size. However I would have liked to receive the thinner cheekpads that were supposed to be provided but were out of stock at the time of my purchase as the pads that come stock really push a lot on my cheeks. Other than that I’ve been really enjoying the helmet!"

"No they did not rip off no icon. This is a one of a kind helmet. Super light, quiet and with excellent air flow. I can finally say I can ride in super high Temps for long periods without overheating. I love this helmet!"

Not what I thought!

"1st one I originally bought, was way too small and was a size L. I returned it and got an XL. Fits good but too tight in the face padding. For the money I spent, it should be blue tooth built in. I’ll be returning this one for a refund. Not what I expected."

"I have ordered the 2x and 3x helmets and neither fit. They are way too small. I have another 509 helmet that is a 2x that fits just fine."

Great helmet with some downfalls

"Unfortunately due to the fact that the cheek pads run small I'm kinda screwed. I wear a 3xl and that's the largest size available. So cheeks are a little tight but otherwise fits my head good. (Hopefully replacement cheek pads are available soon) also there are vent controls on either side in front of the cheek pads with no indication which way is open. I can't tell a difference so I gave up trying to figure it out. Other than those 2 issues I absolutely love the helmet"

Are the slots on the sides meant for the cardo? How would you install it? On top or remove the black piece?
Hey Brittany, the slots on the sides are our Venturi Vents, which pull moist air out of the helmet without allowing cold wind to enter the helmet. The Mach V Carbon Helmet does not have built in Cardo nor does it have a space specifically for Cardo installation. If you are looking for a comms compatible helmet, I would recommend our [Mach V Carbon Commander Helmet](https://ride509.com/products/mach-v-carbon-commander-helmet) as it comes with Cardo integrated into the helmet.
I’m confused by the texture of the shell. In the first few photos, it shows a matte carbon look. But in the last photo, it shows a glossy carbon. Which style would I be getting? There’s no options to select.
Hey Cameron, apologies for the delay! Both color options for the Mach V Carbon Helmet have a gloss finish.
Does it come with the different visors? Smoked, blue, and the red/orange ones as well?

Does the Cardo pac talk bold work with this helmet
Hey Bobby! It would work as an external piece, but it would not be integrated into the helmet as our Mach V Commander Helmet is.
Hey there I'm super interested in the Mach v carbon and I can see there are the block off plates for the cardo unit. what I'm wondering is do you offer the Mach V carbon with the cardo installed like the Commander? or if the commander comes in different colours. Thankyou in advance.
Hey Thibaut, unfortunately at this time we do not offer a Mach V Carbon Commander or additional colors in the Mach V Commander but we will be adding that Mach V Carbon Commander and additional colors to the regular Commander to the lineup for Spring 2024!
