Sled trip with Duke Trigger Finger Mitts

"I wore these for the first time on a Tug Hill 3-day trip. They were fairly stiff initially but as use/time/miles increased they broke in nicely. There were only a couple of times that I noticed any coldness in my fingers, and that was primarily in the trigger finger only, which warmed up nicely as the grip heater came up to temperature. Using the brake was a bit challenging for the trigger finger, but I anticipate this to diminish time. I like the gloves use and fit, and recommend them."

Great for colder days

"These are awesome for colder days when keeping your fingers together in a mitten is important. The trigger finger still lets you work the break with ease."

Trigger finger

"I'm a guide and I bought them , I love all my 509 gear which is everything . . . these not so much I don't even where them"

"I’ll start by saying these are great quality mitts. Well made, good quality materials and good fit. I decided to paid more for these than I normally would for gloves because they had a higher amount of Thinsulate and were rated for -30F, which is what I was looking for because I’m tired of freezing my fingers off when I take my ATV on the lake for ice fishing. So I was willing to pay $130 for “the right gloves”. I’m only giving 3 stars because they didn’t keep my fingers any warmer than my $60 Cabelas GoreTex gloves. However, with the 509 Duke, I am going to try and put a disposable hand warmer inside the mitt and hopefully keep my hands from freezing next time I drive several miles on the ice. See if that makes a difference. IMOO GoreTex is the only thing that keeps the windchill out of any garment. If these 509 Dukes had a GoreTex lining, and the 600 gram Thinsulate, I’d be willing to pay even more for them."

Perfect Power Glove

"I use this glove on days when it’s actively snowing and cold. I love to wear mitts but never could because I couldn’t ride with my finger on the brake. Well now I can! These keep my hands warm and hold up to the moisture very well."

Duke

"Gloves have almost no insulation value completely froze my hands first ride out with them I’ve contacted 509 customer support they told me the gloves should be used in below zero temps which contradicts the first line of the product description."

Duke

"Absolutely froze my hands first ride out them insulation value is not true I’ve contacted 509 and they won’t do anything but tell the gloves should not be used below zero temps which contradicts what the first line of the description says."
