Great goggles besides they need more durable wire

"I Love these Goggles when they worked. Wire broke at the gromet of lens the 4th or 5th time using them. if 509 could address the very thin wire and use a larger gauge wire, thicker insulation on wire, or both so that the wire was a little more durable I would easily give them 5 stars. Their customer service was great at getting my lenses warrantied in a very quick and easy manner."

Wire breaks

"They work great, until they don't. The wire insulation coming out of the lens breaks on every pair of lenses, which is 4 now in 4 seasons. The wire strand itself is very tiny gauge so once the insulation does the wire breaks soon after. At first I thought I was having battery issues only to find out one of the two wires had failed. It's so tiny it's extremely difficult to solder as a repair. I have received replacements under warranty but I don't even get a full season out of them. If 509 was able to address this issue I would give then 5 stars because they really do work great."

Short lived

"At first they worked great, but halfway through the snowmobiling season they started to fog up, and pretty soon my son and I couldn’t see out of our 509 heated goggles. However, 509 customer service was great and replaced both lenses without question."

Great lens, weak wire

"These lenses tend to get a little darker than what I would like based on lack of light outside but I'm still happy overall with the tint. The heating element works well at eliminating fog. My biggest issue is that the wire breaks too easily. First the insulation cracks exposing the extremely thin gauge wire then it's just a matter of rides before the wires fail. Two seasons and two sets of lenses failed before the end of the season. That's gonna get expensive unless 509 addresses this issue"
