For street use only.

"Did anyone at 509 actually try these in the mountains? Cord comes unplugged easily, a simple change in the plastic over mold at the connector would help. Additionally, a 90 degree option would really help, I run Simister's and the 90 degree option would allow me to zip tie the extension to the strap stand-offs. Sad when you get $400 wrapped up in a Goggle system and a $2.00 3.5x1.35 dc cord is the weak link."

They work

"The Pacific Northwest can be, in a word damp. A particuly difficult if you where glasses. I got the extension cord so I can put the battery pack in the the backpack. I recommend it. I work hard and all else has failed. These, I turn them on and I'm good I can see in the storm like nothing else I've tried. Lens swaps as conditions change is a great feature. If you like skiing the storm and riding into to backcountry in all conditions and work hard, these have worked for me."

Extention Cable that comes with R4

"This cable was lost on the 1st trip. Unplugs way to easy. Bad design. These need work. RCA style that stays connected or magnetic. Please don't cheap out on the cables. $400 helmet and Chinese sourced cables. You can do better 509!!!!"

Extention Cable

"Cable is way to short and comes unplugged very easy, RCA type connectors would have been a better choice or connectors that have a simple mechanical retainer to hold things together."
