"I definitely love my this helmet I still have it after 3 yrs! I do like the straps. I got the medium size fits nicely. I would like to say one other thing this helmet SAVED MY LIFE . . . I was told if I didn't have it on I wouldn't have survived. Thank you 509 will buy again!"

Poor quality control, customer support lacking

"After fighting with customer service to send me a store credit email for almost 2 weeks, my helmet finally came in the mail and after pulling it out of the box I was pretty disappointed for how much I paid for it. Trim was coming off, and the extra shield was already scratched. The medium was incredibly tight and the large is too loose."

Incredible Helmet

"Stylish, tech-loaded and provides a huge sense of safety. I will say, it's geared to the more narrow-headed and I wish there was an even darker option for the screen for photo shoots, but other than that I am sold! I've connected to my phone via Bluetooth and used this helmet when in a conversation and everything is crystal clear to the listener. Regardless of what I do, please ride safely and enjoy this superb product!"

Helmet fits a little tight

"Helmet is a little tighter so size up (My Bell helmet that is 61cm does NOT fit the same as this 61-62cm does) I hurt my ears everytime I pull it off, plus the chrome visor I order was not chrome at all, just mildly tinted black with some blurry yellow stuff in the center, this is a little disappointing since I paid $800 Cad for this."

Q&A

Looking at traditional Mach V Helmet. I notice it has the location on each side of the helmet for the Cardo comms, however, this helmet doesn't come with one installed. I have one already, are either of the built in inserts able to be popped out and a Cardo installed?
Hey Josh, so sorry for the delay. Unfortunately we did not design the base model Mach V to be Cardo UCS compatible therefore those inserts are not able to be popped out. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Hey Ezra, our base model Mach V Helmet does not have any audio system. Only our Mach V Commander Helmets have the built in audio systems.
Does the grey version come stock with a clear shield and fire mirror as shown in the photos?

Silly question about “racing red”. On my screen the Mach 5 appears to be more like orange. Would prefer something closer to Ferrari red. I’m 2 hours from one of your dealers, or I would check it myself. Thanks for your tolerance.
Hey Rich! Apologies for the delay, that is a very fair question - digital screens are always tricky to tell the true color. It more closely resembles the Ferrari red you are looking for.
Does the base model Mach v have a functional rear light?
Hey Dimitri, unfortunately no. On the base model Mach V Helmet, that rear point acts as a reflector and is not a functional rear light.
